The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the General Duty (GD) Constable Examination every year to recruit eligible candidates for various paramilitary forces. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed 10th/Matriculation from a recognized board.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 18 years

  • Maximum: 23 years

Application Form

The application process is online. Candidates must follow these steps:

Exam Pattern

The SSC GD Exam consists of four stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):

    • Total Questions: 80

    • Total Marks: 160

    • Subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi

    • Time Duration: 60 minutes

  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

    • Running (5 km in 24 mins for males, 1.6 km in 8.5 mins for females)

  3. Physical Standard Test (PST):

    • Height, chest measurements, and weight (as per SSC norms)

  4. Medical Examination & Document Verification

Syllabus

General Intelligence & Reasoning:
Analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, arithmetic reasoning, coding-decoding, etc.

General Knowledge:
Current affairs, history, culture, geography, Indian polity, economics, general science.

Elementary Mathematics:
Number system, ratio & proportion, profit & loss, time & distance, averages, percentages, etc.

English/Hindi:
Basic grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation, comprehension.

Admit Card

The SSC GD Admit Card will be released region-wise before the exam. Candidates can download it using their registration ID and date of birth from the official SSC website.

Exam Centers

The exam will be held across major cities in India. Candidates must select their preferred center during application. Exam centers will be mentioned in the admit card.
